Our first assignment is to make a mug. I found these mugs that insprired me to do some type of animal mug. I want it to be three demensional, and have some texture on the surface, like in the first picture. Also i want to somehow incorporate the handle into the picture on the mug liek the animal mugs in the second picture.

In the past my main focus has been Pinch Pots like this one, but this semester my goal is to shift my focus to the wheel.

I'm Allie. This is a blog for my Ceramics 2 class. I like working with clay. I'm the best at making things by hand like pinch pots and stuff i form by hand. I havent't really mastered the wheel yet but thats something I hope to improve on this semester.

A little bit about myself: I'm pretty shy except for when I'm with my friends, I love to laugh, and I like pretty much any type of music. I have an autoimmune disease called Lupus Nephritis, i was diagnosed this summer. I love art class and french fries. My most prized possesion is my dog, Bella, (pictured to the right) and my favorite color is always changing, but right now it's purple. Someday I hope to be a teacher and a safe driver.
